Suction-aspiration

If the pregnancy does not exceed 12 weeks LMP suction-aspiration is the safest method. First, the cervix is dilated a few millimeters and than a suction tube is inserted thought the cervix into the womb. When the womb is emptied it will contract causing some cramps. The entire procedure only requires a few minutes.

You may choose either local anaesthesia, local anaesthesia combined with a short acting additional painkiller or general anaesthesia.
